VERSION FRANÇAISE

Amal doesn’t remember what happened to her neighborhood. She only remembers a big tree that is not there any more, where the children would climb. She remembers she used to bring her father coffee in the orchard. Then, there was the war.

Amal and her brothers have lost everything. They are the children of the Samouni family, a community of farmers living in the rural outskirts of Gaza City. A year ago, they buried their dead. Now, they have to rebuild not only their houses but also their memory: the life before the war, the words of their father, the tragic events that struck their family. In their dialog with the past, the young Samounis begin to envisage their future.
